Contractor and Landlord Grant Program
The Schoharie County Rural Preservation Corporation works with qualified contractors and landlords to support housing, preservation, and community development efforts throughout Schoharie County. The Schoharie County Rural Preservation Corporation also serves as the administrator of the HUD Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program.
Contractors interested in doing business with the Schoharie County Rural Preservation Corporation are encouraged to complete the contractor interest form linked below. Minority- and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBE) and Section 3 contractors are highly encouraged to apply as part of the Corporation’s commitment to inclusive and equitable contracting practices. Contractors seeking to work with the Schoharie County Rural Preservation Corporation will be required to provide a minimum of two (2) professional references upon request. Contractors performing work funded through grants must carry general liability insurance with minimum coverage of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate and must provide proof of workers’ compensation coverage in accordance with New York State requirements. Landlords participating in or interested in the HCV Program should review the NSPIRE HCV/PBV Inspection Checklist, which outlines HUD’s inspection standards and requirements for assisted units. This checklist should be used as a reference when preparing for inspections. All landlords are required to notify the Schoharie County Rural Preservation Corporation as soon as possible of any changes to ownership, contact information, or other demographic information to ensure accurate records and continued program compliance. |
