About Us
Schoharie County Rural Preservation Corporation (SCRPC) has proudly served our rural communities for more than four decades. Established in 1984 by Roland Crowe and Adele Hayes, SCRPC has consistently worked to ensure that local seniors, families, and individuals have access to safe, quality, and affordable housing. The organization’s early work was strengthened by the original grant written by Sandy MacKay, helping lay the foundation for SCRPC’s long-term impact in Schoharie County. In 1986, SCRPC began administering the HUD Housing Choice Voucher Program under “The Village of Cobleskill,” providing vital rental assistance to Schoharie County residents.
